  • Maundy Thursday Service

    Thursday, April 17th  @ 7 pm at St. Matthews, please join Rock Church Ministries for a Holy Week service at St. Matthews on Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 pm. The service will include a special communion celebration.         

  • Easter Egg Hunts and Pancake Breakfast

    • Pancake Breakfast ~Join Sandown PTA at Sandown Central between 8 am-11am for a pancake breakfast before the egg hunt!
    • Easter Egg Hunt ~Saturday, April 12th @ St. Matthews UMC from 8:00 am -12:00 pm. Children through 5th grade and parents are invited Doors open every 15 minutes.
    • Easter Egg Hunt ~Sunday, April 13th @ Rock Church Amesbury 10:00 am. Children through 5th grade are invited to participate. A party will follow the egg hunt.
  • Arise, My Love Easter Cantata

    Rock Church Music Ministry, a choir of 70 voices is presenting new and traditional Easter worship music in celebration of the Easter message that "God’s Not Dead" and we have the hope of eternal life in Christ! Two performances: Palm Sunday - April 13th at 4:00 pm at St Matthews Church in Sandown, NH and  Good Friday - April 18th at 7:00 pm at the Rockingham Church in Plaistow, NH.

  • Help Feed the Folks for the Sandown Mission Trip

  • 2014 Mission Trip to Sandown Events

    Please join us for…Special Mission Trip Eventsat St. Matthew’s

    • Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m. – Church wide barbecue: We’ll supply the hamburgers and hot dogs, please bring a salad or desert to share.  While our construction team will be working, and we would ask everyone to stay off  the actual work site, this is be a great opportunity to check on the progress of our building project and ask questions of folks who will be available to respond.
    • Wednesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. – Potluck Supper & Service: Our potluck will be followed by a brief service in the sanctuary.
  • April Food Pantry Needs

    We are seeking donations of pasta, pasta sauce, mac n cheese, canned pasta, and canned tomatoes throughout the month of April.  Please place items in the food bins provided. All donations received at The Rock go to the Plaistow and surrounding communities’ food pantries.  Donations received at St. Matthews go to the Sandown Food Pantry.  Donations in Amesbury go to Our Neighbor’s Table.

    Women’s Book Club Book, Saturday, April 26th

    The Violets of March by Sarah Jio. Description: In a mystical place where violets bloom out of season and the air is salt drenched, a heartbroken woman stumbles upon a diary and steps into the life of its anonymous author. Women's Book Club meets next at the home of Janet McBrien, 80 High St., Amesbury, MA, on Saturday, April 26th, at 10 am for a potluck brunch and discussion of the book. All women are welcome! Anyone interested in coming to a meeting or needing more information can contact Ronda Hodge.

    We are setting up a new system for text reminders for those who would like them.  Here is how it will work.  It is a strictly an “opt-in” system.  When you go to this link it will take you to a webpage where you will be asked to enter your name, cell phone number (10 digit number only – do not enter spaces, dashes or characters), and service provider.  You will get a text with a confirmation (PIN) number.  Enter the PIN number and it takes you to the selection page.

  • TD Bank Fundraiser

    Rockingham Church/St Matthew UMC is now part of the Affinity Membership Program with TD Bank.  This program is TD Bank’s community service to nonprofit organizations and a way for TD Bank to give back to the community with no contribution of funds required from anyone.  TD Bank shall present an annual check to the church based on a percentage of the anonymous balances of people who have coded their accounts to Rockingham Church/St Matthews UMC.

    If you already have a personal or business account with TD Bank and would like to support these efforts simply call or visit your local branch and ask
